PURPOSE:To decrease fuel quantity stuck to the internal wall of a fuel bypass pipe, etc., in a transition time of an internal combustion engine which has such constitution as injecting and supplying fuel to a plurality of cylinders located close to each other by common fuel injection valves. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injector comprises fuel injection valves 5A for injecting and supplying fuel individually to one of respective intake bypass pipes 3, a fuel injection valve 5B for injecting and supplying fuel to a plurality of suction bypass pipes 3 simultaneously, and ECU 21 which detects fuel injection timing of the fuel injection valve 5A in a transition time of the internal combustion engine 1 and starts to inject and supply fuel one after another from the fuel injection valves 5A by fuel quantity which is corrected based on physical quantity changing in the transition time. Precise fuel quantity required by a cylinder is thus injected and supplied to it in a superior vaporized state so as to increase generation torque, flow speed of air to be sucked in the cylinder afterwards is increased, stuck fuel quantity is decreased due to increase in intake air per unit hour, and so starting of engine rotation speed, which is engine follow-up performance, is improved. |
