PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for preparing a mold or the like for every kind of articles to be protected and realize a low-cost production by a method wherein a protective cover is composed of at least one selected out of stretchable fibrous materials, net materials, and fabric materials and a thermoplastic elastomer. CONSTITUTION:At least one selected out of stretchable fibrous materials, net materials, and fabric materials is used in combination with a thermoplastic elastomer. As a combining method, the stretchable fibrous material, net material, or fabric material is incorporated in a sheet or film of the thermoplastic elastomer. As an alternative, it may be held between a plurality of thermoplastic elastomer sheets or films in a contact state. In another alternative, it may be bonded to the surface of the thermoplastic elastomer sheet or film. As a method for postforming a protective cover, an article to be protected is covered with the protective cover, and a pressure between the both is reduced in an airtight state. As an alternative, while a pressure between the article to be protected and the protective cover is reduced, the protective cover is heated. |
