PURPOSE:To eliminate the cumbersome work to select a music from a table of contents book by retrieving a storage means based on the retrieval condition items inputted and displaying a prescribed number of music titles, which meet the retrieval conditions, on a display means. CONSTITUTION:When retrieval condition items of the desired musics to be selected from plural musics are instructed by an input device such as an operation section 1 or a commander 5, a system controller 28 retrieves the retrieval condition items stored in a storage device 27 or an optical disc 30. A prescribed number of music titles which meet the retrieval conditions are displayed on a display device 9 through a character generator 14 which generates characters and graphics. Thus, by selecting the music displayed on the device 9, the music is reserved and the cumbersome work to find a music, for which one desires to sing, from the table of contents book is eliminated. Note that the retrieval condition items could be genre codes such as pops and Japanese popular ballads or singer codes or singer's gender codes. |
