<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject printing ink containing an epoxy compound as a curing agent, capable of forming a coating film excellent in physical properties, e.g. resistance to content material and to heat, excellent in printability and suitable for a vessel for liquid such as potable water, fruit juice, alcohol beverage or milk. CONSTITUTION:This aqueous gravure printing ink is prepared by admixing preferably 0.5 to 20wt.% (especially 1 to 10wt.%) curing agent composed of an epoxy compound having two or more epoxy groups on the average in one molecule and dispersible in water in the presence of a surfactant or a coalescing solvent according to demand with the conventional aqueous gravure printing ink. In addition, this epoxy compound may have any form of a monomer, an oligomer and a polymer and, e.g. a low-molecular epoxy compound, an alicyclic epoxy resin, a straight-chain epoxy resin, a water-dispersible epoxy resin or a water-dispersible bisphenol A type epoxy resin is used.</p> |
