PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of starting the data processing system operation. CONSTITUTION: Each sequence of data processing system user inputs which are caused in response to identified stimulus events and an occurrence of the following identified stimulus events, is stored in a data base, and the probability of an occurrence of a selected data processing system user input sequence in response to the occurrence of the following stimulus events is calculated by using the sequence of already stored data processing user inputs. The sequence of more than one data processing system user inputs is identified and shown together with the probability of a user's execution when a data processing system stimulus event is identified. Thereafter, selected one of these recognized data processing system user inputs is automatically started, which improves the efficiency of a series of data processing system inputs.
