PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing fibers having high strength by which mass-coloring of an aramid structure prepared from a polar aprotic org. solvent becomes possible and a formed structure, particularly a fiber, is easily produced from a soln. CONSTITUTION: A compsn. containing a polar aprotic org. solvent (preferably, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone), 5-30 wt.% of an arom. polyamide and 0.5-5 wt.% of a color-conferring solid component is ground to prepare a premix so that the coloring-conferring solid component has particles with an average diameter of <200 nm, particularly 80-150 nm. A soln. contg. a polar aprotic org. solvent and an arom. polyamide corresponding to the arom. polyamide used in the previous step are mixed with the premix to prepare a forming soln., which is extruded through a forming die. After removal of the org. solvent and after- treatment according to the conventional method, the obtained mass-colored fibers have smooth surfaces and filament linear density is at least 2.0 dtex and a radioactive ratio reflected at measurement parallel to fiber axes is >=6%, preferably 7-10%. |
