The promotor compsn. for the anaerobic and biological treatment of the waste water generated from the manufacture of a chemical fiber is composed of 0.02-0.2 ppm biotin, 0.02-0.2ppm hydrochloric acid, 0.1-1ppm pyridoxine, 0.02-0.5ppm thiamine, 0.05-0.5ppm riboflavin, 0.05-0.2ppm nicotinic acid, 0.05-0.5ppm pantothenic acid and 0.01-0.1ppm aminobenzoic acid as an organic nutrient, and 10-100ppm zinc, 10-100ppm manganese, 2.4-24ppm molybdenum, 2.6-26ppm selenium, 17-170ppm calcium, 1.9-19ppm boron, 3.6-36ppm copper and 12-120ppm nickel as an inorganic nutrient.
