PURPOSE:To ensure a cushioning function and reduce the use amount of a cushioning material. CONSTITUTION:In a packaging material consisting of a cushioning member 20 made of a thermoplastic material and an inner box 30 provided for containing a material to be packaged, the cushioning member 20 comprises a receiving plate 24 having a width larger than that of an abutting surface to the material to be packaged and side plates 21, 22 each having an extending part integrally extended from the end of the receiving plate 24 toward the rear side of the abutting surface to the material to be packaged. Therefore, a shock absorbing effect by deflection is produced in addition to a cushioning effect by compression of a cushioning material, whereby a cushioning function is ensured, and the use amount of the cushioning material can be reduced. |
