<p>PURPOSE:To balance between the reduction in cost and the enhancement of the strength of a head body at the time of manufacture of a hollow metallic head body. CONSTITUTION:A first outer shell member 11 and a second outer shell member 12 are welded for constituting a head body. The first outer shell member 11 made up of a sole part 2, a toe part 3, a heel part 4, a face part 5, and a back part 6 is manufactured by the lost wax process. The second outer shell part 12 made up of a crown part 7 is manufactured by press working or forging. Thus, the respective merits of both the casing and the press working or forging can be utilized.</p> |
