PURPOSE:To improve heat impact resistance, moisture resistance and thermal conductivity of components to be contained in a metal case or in a mold by pouring a thermosetting resin composition under vacuum and setting it in the case or in the mold after the metal case, or the mold, containing predetermined components of an electric appliance is filled with a filler containing specified fine particles. CONSTITUTION:In the case of manufacturing an electric appliance having components 2 such as a coil, circuit parts, etc., set in a metal case 1 and being subjected to insulation processing, a thermosetting resin composition is poured into the case 1 at a degree of vacuum of at most 100 Torr and is then set after the case 1 has been filled with a filler having at least 300mum of a mean particle diameter and having at most 300ppm of the content of fine particles whose mean diameter is less than 100mum. More concretely, for example, a releasing agent is applied to the inside of the metal case 1, the components 2 are placed on support stands 5 to be put in the case 1, and the case is filled with the filler 3 while oscillating the case. Thereafter, an epoxy resin composition 4 is poured thereinto under a reduced pressure of 100Torr. After this state is left as it is for one minute, the reduced pressure is returned to normal pressures, and the resin composition is processed so as to be set in four hours at 100 deg.C. |
