PURPOSE:To automate a box packing of a large number of cans easily and in a short period of time by a method wherein a container for transport is constituted of a pair of half boxes made of a synthetic resin, which have a shape wherein a container for transport is divided in two at the approx. center in the height direction, and have a flange part at the opening end, and the flange parts of the half boxes are brought into contact with and put together on the top and bottom. CONSTITUTION:A container 1 for transport consists of top and bottom half boxes 2, 2 with a shape such as that the container 1 for transport is divided in two in the height direction, and the half boxes 2, 2 are formed into the same shape. Each half box 2 is a box body of which one surface is open, consisting of a bottom wall 3, long side walls 4, 4 and short side walls 5, 5. Respective side walls are formed toward the opening end edge, and a flange part 6 is formed at the opening end edge. When the half boxes 2, 2 are put together on the top and bottom while making the flange parts 6, 6 confronted, the container 1 for transport with a closed box shape is formed. At an automatic box packing line, cans 12 are put in the half box 2 under an attitude wherein the opening of the half box 2 faces upward. Then, the half box 2 under an attitude wherein the opening of the half box 2 faces downward is carried, and the two half boxes are butted. |
