An automatic metering device for powdery bulk material, in particular coffee powder, has a reservoir (1) with a wall (2) and a stationary base plate (3) for the bulk material. The base plate (3) has an opening (4) to a conveyor tube (5) which is disposed below said plate and in which a conveyor member (6) is disposed for conveying the bulk material to a delivery location. According to the invention, the wall (2) of the cylindrical reservoir (1) is rotated during the metering process, and a sensor is provided for determining the amount to be delivered by the conveyor member. The appliance of the invention enables bulk material, in particular coffee powder, to be metered simply and accurately without the risk of bridges forming inside the reservoir such that the bulk material poured in first is also dispensed first. |
