Novel morpholinol compounds their preparation and use

Novel (2S,3S,5R) morpholinols of formula (I) together with the (+-)-(2R*,3R*,5S*) racemates thereof, and their salts, wherein X is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 3 to 6 carbon atoms or a group -CH2-X<1> where X<1> is cycloalkyl of 3 to 6 carbon atoms. The compounds have a variety of uses in human medicine, in particular in the treatment of mental disorders such as depression.
