A feed roller 21 and a separation roller 31 placed facing each other are provided. Only the feed roller 21 is rotated in a paper transport direction, whereby a plurality of paper slips arriving upstream from the rollers 21 and 31, initially supplied without separation processing, are separated one by one and transported to a target position. A runner 25 rotating integrally with the feed roller 21 is disposed on the same shaft as the feed roller 21. Each blade of the runner 25 is made of flexible material and set to a length allowing the blade to come in contact with an upstream bill not yet taken into the space between the feed roller 21 and the separation roller 31. <IMAGE> |
