Aluminium@ saucepan with reinforced base

The saucepan or frying pan is made in aluminium or else has a base made in aluminium. The base is covered with a layer of metal or a metallic alloy which is harder than aluminium. This is formed by projecting small drops of metal on to the base which fuse on to it. The outer surface of the layer is smooth, or it can be covered with a layer of paint or enamel. The metal is preferably stainless steel or a ferromagnetic alloy.
