NaCl soln., and for water treatment with the Cl2 has (a) independent distribution systems for the water, Cl2 and NaOH soln.; (b) devices for measuring the pH and chlorine content of the water to the treated; (c) a system for controlling the electrical supply to the electrolytic cell as a function of the measured chlorine content; and (d) a device for controlling delivery from the NaOH soln. distribution system into the water to be treated as a function of the pH measurement.
