Several facings are placed side by side in the vertical and horizontal directions on the wall surface, each being connected to the wall (6) by fixing bolts (9). These bolts fit in a rigid facing plate (4) in an upper region of the lower facing (1i). This upper region of a lower facing is covered by a lower region of an upper facing (1s). After fixing a lower facing to the wall an upper facing (1s) is brought to the wall and slid downwards along the wall. The upper facing has an anchoring part (12) moulded onto the facing plate, projecting in the direction of the wall and curved downwards so as to engage behind a rigid retaining plate (5) bolted at the time of placing the lower facing. The plate is formed in a single piece (3) with the facing plate as well as a connector (7).
