The punching tool for perforating or producing apertures in metal profiles consists of a body made up of two parts, one of which is provided with an edge (22) constituting an acute-angled straight section which produces a positive cut, while the other is similarly provided with an edge (23) constituting an obtuse-angled straight section which produces a negative cut from the opposite side in such a way that the profile plate (2) adjacent to this edge is deformed and forced inwards.
