The table has a fixed top (12) which is supported by two legs (4). These are joined by two parallel bars (8,10) which are joined by fixed parts (18) on the legs. One leg has a part (20) mobile longitudinally with two parallel bars (32,34) which slide on the outer surfaces of the fixed bars. The other leg has two parallel bars (38,40) which slide on the inner surface of the fixed bars. The bars are tall enough to leave a space between the inner sliding bars in which the leaves (50) of the table are stored.
