The shutter flap automatic locking system comprises two distinct parts. A first part situated on the window frame (21) has a rotating and oscillating drive shaft (4) activated by an angled arm (3) whose end has a roller (2). A second part comprising a runner (1) is contained on the internal face (23) of the shutter flap (6) in which runs the roller. The runner is located perpendicular to the axis (7) of the shutter hinges (27) and is extended by a pivot (10) connecting to the end of a lever (9). The other end (12) of the lever is extended by a supple strap (11), which, when tensioned by the movement of the lever and under the roller pressure, activates a catch (26) so as to immobilise the shutter in the closed position.
