Wooden crash barrier for roads

The barrier comprises a succession of logs (1) joined end to end by cleats (2) and fixed to preferably metal posts (3) having a wooden spacer (4) by bolts (12,15). The bolts go through the cleats, the logs and the channels (6) which reinforce the logs on their back surface and are embedded in the logs. The ends of the channels are closed by plates (7) which link the opposite edges of the wings (6a) forming a housing (8) to take a U-shaped iron strip (9) attached to the spacer. Each end of the strip fits respectively into one of the housings at the end of each channel where at least one bolt passes through it.
