A compact telephone set has a structure with separate support and handset and functional modules (LAS, EDS, LSPS, SPS, TRS, STE, BOF) located on both parts, as well as a standard connection cable (HAK) with four lines (SL1...SL4) between both parts. In order to provide the handset with a higher number of performance characteristics without adding more lines, a first line (SL1) is used both for ringing signals and for earth signals. |
