Safety circuit for stud welding gun, with a mains voltage supplied charge regulator (10') having a capacitor (14) or capacitor bank connected between its outputs, with a thyristor (13) connected to a positive voltage output of the charge regulator (10') output leads, with a monitoring circuit (21) switched in parallel, which activates a safety relay (22) when certain preset parameters are not maintained to switch off the supply voltage.
