The effect of chemical decontaminants for sec. sources contaminated with PCBs is increased by coating the contaminated wall and/or surface with a mixt. of diethylene glycol monoethyl ether or other ethylene glycol deriv., and the corresp. glycolate of Na and/or other alkali metal peroxide, and covering the coating with a film hindering the entry of air and esp. of atmos. moisture.
