HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY SYSTEMS AND VIEWING OPTICS

A head-mounted display system (4) for the viewing of video or other sources of imagery which comprises a mechanism allowing for a wide range of adjustments for presenting a display to the wearer. Several viewing optics are presented which can be used in any apparatus including head mounted displays. Some of the viewing optics provide wide field of views, reduced aberrations and high optical performances. Modifications to the head-mounted display (4) are presented which reduce external glare and are particularly compact. Integrated speakers for the head-mounted display (4) are also presented.
