Dynamometer for motor vehicles with 2-dimensional vector display

The acceleration vector is shown to the driver as an arrow on a colour monitor so that the origin of the vector arrow corresponds to the vehicles stationary centre of gravity. The length and direction of the arrow changes to represent the actual measured value of acceleration from this point. A light persistence of 3 second shows progressive stages of acceleration developing to allow the driver to evaluate the road adhesion conditions. Borders on the display show the corresponding limits for various road surface conditions (e.g. ice, snow, wet and damp).
