<p>A semi-automated medication dispenser to dispense medication in the correct dosages at the correct times. The dispenser (2) can be loaded with many days worth of medication (20). Patient information and physician orders are entered into a computer (14). The medication (20) is loaded into compartments (8, 10). When a password is entered for a patient, the computer (14) allows access to only those compartments (8, 10) appropriate for the individual patient at that time. The computer (14) also simultaneously makes a record of the medication (20) administered to each patient.</p> |
