<p>A murine model for the study of HIV disease. A Vβ2 transgenic mouse is infected with a murine retrovirus, MMTV(C4), resulting in a 80 % depletion of CD4+ T cells. The murine model is used in the evaluation of therapies for, or prevention of, HIV disease, including screening potential therapeutic compositions.</p> |
