<p>A security apparatus (10) for restricting the opening of a door (12) in a frame consisting of lag bolts (14 and 16) screwed into the frame near opposite edges of the door (12) and a nylon belt (22) fastened to each lag bolt (14 and 16). An aperture (24 and 26) is formed near each end of the belt (22) and the lag bolts (14 and 16) are extended through the apertures (24 and 26) in order to fasten the belt (22) to the bolts (14 and 16). The belt (22) can be elongated slightly, and it is preferred that the distance between the apertures (24 and 26) is slightly less than the distance between the bolts (14 and 16). Any elongation above a specified amount requires substantially higher force than that required to elongate the belt (22) for putting it in its operable position.</p> |
