PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of grain size regulation and enable clear and testy coffee to be extracted, by changing the opening area of an opening section for communicating a containing chamber with a grinding chamber using a regulating lever, and by regulating the quantity of coffee beans flowing to the grinding chamber. CONSTITUTION:A grinding chamber 1 having a filter plate 4 at the bottom section is communicated with an almost-reversed-cone-formed coffee bean containing chamber 5 opened to an upper section, through an opening section 6 at the bottom section. On the side wall of the grinding chamber 1 on the side of the containing chamber 5, a regulating level 7 for regulating the opening area of the opening section 6 is rotatably set. When coffee beans are ground by a cutter 3 driven by a motor 2 and the ground to grain size set by the regulating lever 7, then the beans are passed through the filter plate 4 in order and the discharged to an extracting chamber 17. In this case, when a quantity contained in the cutter rotated constantly is less, then the beans are easily ground and are turned into fine grain size, and dark coffee beans can be extracted, and when much quantity is contained, then it is hard for the beans to be ground, and the beans are turned to rough grain size, and light coffee beans can be extracted. Besides, the grinding chamber is separated from the extracting chamber, and so a paper filter can be used. |
