<p>PURPOSE:To easily and reliably fix a position relation between a sheet guide member and a separation roller and to enable reliable prevention of the double feed of sheets by a method wherein the sheet guide member is mounted through engagement with the separation roller. CONSTITUTION:A separation roller 17 rotationally driven in a reverse direction to the conveyance direction of a sheet and preventing the double feed of sheets is rotatably supported by a bearing 30 mounted to a feed side plate 11. An engaging part 32 engaged with the bearing 30 from a direction extending approximately at right angles with the direction of the axis of the bearing is formed in a guide member 24 to guide a sheet to the separation roller 17. This constitution enables mounting of the sheet guide member 24 to a sheet feeding device only through engagement of the engaging part 32 with the bearing 30 and enables easy and reliable fixing of a position relation between the sheet guide member 24 and the separation roller 17 and enables reliable prevention of the occurrence of a double feed by using the separation roller 17.</p> |
