It is designed to receive, as required, various functional elements, including wire-conduit channels (29) or special (technical) modules which fit onto its large side faces, side contacts (2) for earthing the drains, and/or screen-continuity (15, 20) half-grids (13A, 13B) for the patch cords (cross-connection leads) (18), and/or rigid combs (38) for earthing all the contacts of the socket terminal strip or for multiplexing, which then are plugged in via the rear of the socket terminal strip.
