The valve, primarily for the control of heating media, is constructed as a ball valve. The plug (5) rotates around an axis (15) at right angles to the flow through the valve (1). Just upstream and downstream of the plug there are tappings (17,18) into the flow channel, which can be connected to an instrument, to measure the differential pressure ( DELTA p) across the plug. This measurement may be used, indirectly, to define the flow through the valve. |
