PURPOSE:To provide a composite thermal transfer sheet excellent in the releasability of a receiving layer and a dye layer at the time of dye printing and imparting sufficiently high printing density. CONSTITUTION:In a composite thermal transfer sheet wherein a receiving layer and at least one color dye layer are successively provided on one surface of a base material sheet, the ratio of the wt. D of the dye layer and the dye binder B in the dye layer is set to 0.5
