COMPOSITION FOR GLASS CLEANING

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in detergency and hardly corroding glass surface in cleaning a glass product by blending an alkali metal hydroxide as a main component with sorbitol and sodium aluminate. CONSTITUTION:This composition is obtained by blending (A) an alkali metal hydroxide (preferably NaOH) with (B) sorbitol and (C) sodium aluminate. Furthermore, an aqueous solution containing 1-5wt.% of the component A is usually used as a base solution. The components B and C are preferably, used in amounts of 5-15 pts.wt. and 1-15 pts.wt. respectively based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A in the base agent solution. Further, sodium gluconate and sodium 2-hydroxyethyliminodiacetate are preferably together added to the composition in order to improve the detergency when hardness of cleaning liquid is increased and detergency is lowered.
