PURPOSE:To provide a motor controller in which reliability in the operation is enhanced by preventing undue heating of a switching element for driving a motor. CONSTITUTION:A current sensor 4 detects a current flowing through a motor 1 and when the detected current exceeds an overcurrent level, an overcurrent detection circuit 6 outputs a signal S1 of 'L' level. A circuit 14 measures the period of 'L' level signal S. being outputted from the overcurrent detection circuit 6. When the measured period 15 shorter than a predetermined value, an 'L' level signal S2 is outputted and a PWM control signal for transistors TR3, TR4 is delivered from the output terminals P3, P4 of a microcomputor 7 through AND circuits 12, 13. |
