PURPOSE:To provide a readily practicable new technique without causing secondary pollution in place of adsorption and recovery of oils as in a conventional method so as to minimize the marine pollution due to the oils spilled into seawater. CONSTITUTION:This nonwoven fabric sheet for treating oils is constituted of a fibrous material comprising a synthetic polymer, having the microbial degradability and prepared by kneading a halotolerant microorganism, enzyme or yeast capable of degrading adsorbed oils or applying the microorganism, enzyme or yeast to the surface thereof. The nonwoven fabric preferably has an oil adsorption weight of >=5 times the own weight, <=0.2g/cm<3> apparent density, 200-2000g/m<2> basis weight, >=1.0 specific gravity and 0.05-2 denier size of fibrous material constituting the nonwoven fabric. |
