<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electrically-driven power steering device having a backlash mechanism in compactness at a low cost capable of easily adjusting backlash of a bevel gear mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A position of a gear wheel 13, constituting one of a bevel gear mechanism, is fixed relating to a housing 1, also to eccentrically support a shaft member 31 of connecting a pinion 30c, constituting the other of the bevel gear mechanism, in a cylindrical member 30, and by rotating it, a relative position of the shaft member 31 relating to the housing 1 is changed in a direction at a right angle to the axial line to adjust backlash between bevel gears. Further, since the shaft member 31 is connected to an electric motor 21 through a universal joint 33, even when changed the relative position of the shaft member 31, no influence is given to torque transmission.</p> |
