COMPOSITION FOR CLEANING HARD SURFACE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in cleaning performance, having good biodegradability and useful for cleaning of glass bottles, etc., by blending an alkali metal hydroxide as a main component with a gluconic acid salt and a hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid salt. CONSTITUTION:This composition is obtained by blending (A) an alkali metal hydroxide (preferably NaOH) with (B) a gluconic acid salt and (C) a hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid salt provided that components B and C become 0.5-30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. A ratio of the component B to the component C used is preferably (75:25) to (25:75). Na salt is preferably used for both components B and C. Furthermore, component A is usually used as an aqueous solution of 1-5wt.%.
