发明名称 WIDE RANGE PLASTIC OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To use a plastic optical fiber at high frequency as >=100MHz even for the transfer of information in a medium distance such as several ten meters to 200m by constituting the fiber having a sheath of a specified copolymer having lower refractive index than the refractive index of the core and the core essentially comprising polymethylmethacrylate. CONSTITUTION:This fiber consists of 1-30wt.% long-chain fluoroalkyl methacrylate expressed by formula I, 1-20wt.% of at least one kind selected from short-chain fluoroalkyl methacrylates expressed by formula II, and 50-98wt.% of methylmethacrylate. Further, the fiber is a plastic optical fiber consisting of a sheath and a core. The sheath has 50g/10min-60g/10min melt index and lower refractive index by between >=0.01 and <=0.04 than the refractive index of the core. The core essentially consists of polymethylmethacrylate. In formula, X is a hydrogen atom or fluorine atom and n is an integer l to 4.
