PURPOSE:To prevent each metallic padding section from being degraded, and form an uniform alloy of metallic padding material and base material by joining abrasion resistant alloy padding to the face surface of an engine valve by buid-up welding by means of high density energy. CONSTITUTION:Abrasion resistant alloy padding which is composed of a super heat resistant alloy (inconel 751) in nickel chrome series, is joined to the face surface of an engine valve for an internal combustion engine by build-up welding by means of high density energy such as plasma, laser and the like. As abrasion resistant alloy padding, alloy padding in a Co group is used, which is composed of 2.2 to 2.6K carbon by weight, 1.1 to 1.3% silicon by weight, 2.6 to 3.1% manganese by weight, less than 1.5% nickel by weight, 28 to 31% chrome by weight, 10 to 11% iron by weight, 13.5 to 15.5% tangsten by weight, and of unavoidable impurities. In this way, an uniform alloy of metallic padding material and base material can thereby be obtained, the padding section of which can thereby be prevented from being degraded. |
