PURPOSE:To enable a user to immediately judge the state of equipment by providing a memory means storing the picture data corresponding to a plurality of the states of the equipment and selecting the picture data corresponding to the states of the equipment to display the same. CONSTITUTION:In a printer control unit 100, the present state and kind if a printer 30, the outputted number of pages and the total number of pages to be outputted are held to a printer data table 1 and the content of the printer data table 1 is updated by the printer control unit 10 at each time when it is changed. When a user inputs a printer control command and a printer state display command from command input area 35, a desk 13 storing picture data is accessed in a printer state display device 8 and the picture data of the page quantity corresponding to the obtained index value is read through a load line 36 and the obtained picture data of page quantity is displayed on the printing quantity display area 29 of a display 26. |
