PURPOSE:To shorten a cutting time, and to cut in the high quality by preventing the melting-down of a corner part in a laser beam cutting method which irradiates a work to be cut with a laser beam and cuts the work to be cut with the energy of the laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A 1st process that when a laser beam 1 reaches a preliminarily disignated laser beam reaching position A during cutting, the laser beam 1 is retreated to a preliminarily set position B along a cutting locus 2a, and a 2nd process that the laser beam 1 is advanced to a position C to change a cutting advancing direction along the cutting locus from the retreated position B and the cutting advancing direction is changed at the position are progressively performed while relatively moving the work 2 to be cut and the laser beam 1. |
