PURPOSE:To enable driving a magnetic bearing instantaneously by regenerative power from a driving motor at the time of power outage with providing neither outage detection circuit nor changeover circuit. CONSTITUTION:A dc input is reduced in pressure by means of a transformer 1, rectified by a rectifying circuit 2, and smoothed by a smoothing circuit 3. Dc voltage is applied to an inverter 4 by which a driving motor 5 is driven The rectified dc voltage is applied to a dc-dc converter 10 to generate power source for a magnetic bearing. Dc power source is generated for controlling the magnetic bearing by means of a dc-dc converter 9. At the time of power outage, regenerative power is applied to the dc-dc converter 10 from the driving motor 5 to obtain the power source for the magnetic bearing, while the dc power source for controlling the magnetic bearing is obtained from the dc-dc converter 9.
