<p>The apparatus for cutting materials, such as non-wovens, is notable in that it comprises a circular knife (C) having at least one cutting shape (C2) dimensioned so as to make an incision (I) suitable for a plurality of compressed formats, the said knife being driven in rotation as a function of the passage of the folded compresses, a roller (G) with elastic positioning being mounted underneath the passage of the compresses in order to serve as a counter-tool.
