PURPOSE:To provide a cushioning material free from harmful gas, easy to incinerate for disposal, reusable for recycling of discarded papers and easy to vary the cushioning action by a method wherein the paper cylinder consisting of discarded papers are cut into pieces of a suitable length and a lidded paper-made case or bag is packed with the cut paper cylinder pieces in a randomly orienting manner. CONSTITUTION:Paper cylinders are cut into pieces of a suitable length and a liner paper-made case 2 with a lid 3 is packed with such cut paper cylinder pieces 1 in a randomly orienting manner by loose arrangement, adhesive attachment or compression molding by a die using adhesive. The cut paper cylinder piece 1 varies in elasticity (cushioning action) and rigidity with the number of times that the paper is wound to form the cylinder and the inside diameter and length of the cylinder. Since there are differences in the elasticity (cushioning action) and the rigidity between the outer peripheral and longitudinal directions of the cylinder, the cut paper cylinder pieces are attached together in a randomly orienting manner to permit the action of cushioning material to be varied. Since discarded papers are used, the cushioning material is economical to manufacture, easy to incinerate for disposal, free from harmful gases and reusable as another material for recycling supply. |
