PURPOSE:To obtain a wavelength multiplexing optical transmission device matching the passing center wavelength of an optical band passing filter and the wavelength of an optical signal accurately and by a simple control. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter 11 performs an intensity modulation for three or more lights which are equal in a wavelength difference by control signals of different frequencies, puts a data signal on light except the wavelength at the both ends, multiplexes these lights and transmits them. A receiver 12 performs a photoelectric conversion for the intensity of the light passing an optical band passing filter 25. With the wavelength of the light received from a converted electric signal as a center, the frequency components of a control signal whose light of the both adjacent wavelengths is modulated are extracted, and the passing center wavelength of the optical band passing filter 25 is controlled so that the amplitudes of these frequency components may be equal. Thus, at the center of the wavelength of the both adjacent light, the passing center wavelength of the optical band passing filter is controlled, and the wavelength of an optical signal to be received and the passing center wavelength can be matched. |
