The temporary closing plug of the molten steel tapping nozzle of the converter furnace is mfd. by (a) covering a cylindrical paper sleeve (5) with an inorganic fiber coating material(6) of 50% Al2O3 and 50% SiO2 to make a sleeve(7), (b) plugging the upper part of the sleeve with a closed paper tube(8), filling a refractory mortar(9), covering the outer of the circular steel plate(10), and vacuun closing it with an inorganic fiber cap(11), and (c) covering the lower part of the sleeve with a tapered cone type steel plate(12), filling an inorganic fiber bulk(13) between the coating material(6) and the steel plate(12), covering the outer of the steel plate(12) with a binder(14) and a releasing(15) agent, and wrapping it with an aluminium thin plate(16) and a plastic film(17).
