The process is for the spreading of lime and incorporates storing compartments placed at the spreading places in which lime is filled from bulk vehicles, then to be filled into the spreader container. During this filling process, the lime is moistened by a water curtain around the storage compartment opening. The spreader device incorporates a V-shaped container at the bottom of which is a conveyor belt (15) which feeds the lime out in a run, at the back of which it is cast outwards in the required direction of a milling roller provided with vanes of butyl rubber. The milling tool or rollers operate at very high speed so that each vane only requires to transport a relatively small amt. of lime, imparting high speed to the lime particles. |
