A compound having formula (IV), wherein Z is CH2-N(CH3), N(CH3)-CH2, or (a); R<1> and R<2> are selected from 1) one of R<1> and R<2> is OH and the other of R<1> and R<2> is (C1-C6)alkyl, (C2-C6)alkenyl, or phenyl, with the proviso that Z is not CO; 2) one of R<1> and R<2> is H and the other of R<1> and R<2> is NR<5>R<6>, wherein R<5> and R<6> are independently selected from H and (C1-C6)alkyl, or is OR<7>, wherein R<7> is H or (C1-C6)alkyl; and 3) R<1> and R<2> together form an oxo or oxime group; R<3> and R<4> are each hydroxyl or together form a carbonate or thiocarbonate group; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
